Mere’s mom found her old radio flyer wagon, which I think at this point is classified as vintage. Just in time, too, because we have been wanting to get a wagon for Luke! And what better than an original?? Yeah, originals need a bit of work these days, but what fun! This is project #1 for papa and son…okay for papa while son “helps.”

Trip Photos
July 22, 2009Okay, I finally got some pictures online…then I’ve been messing with trying to embed a slideshow on the blog, but haven’t been able to get it to work. Determined, I figured my html skillz were shot…probably still are…but I checked the support pages to discover that wordpress doesn’t allow embedding flash…bummer!
Well, we took a “few” pics, so peruse at your leisure! It was an awesome trip!!
Christian ethics should be viewed from a positive perspective rather than from that of negativity. A corollary of this position is that the main thing in our Christian life is not that we have died to the old way of life, but that we have been born again for the new way of life. All too often Christians look at morality from the negative viewpoint. Christian growth does not come from what we don’t do. It is rather a product of what, in our daily lives, we actively do. The Christian ethic is a positive ethic, and the Christian life, as an expression of that ethic, is a positive, active existence.

Today in history…
June 16, 2009…God blessed us with a precious baby boy. One year ago today we held him for the very first time! (and we thought he was big then!) We praise God for a happy, healthy, smiley lil’ boy, and we give Him thanks for friends and family who are a part of raising and caring for him.
Happy Birthday Luke!!!
