And so this marks the 200th post on this blog…congrats to those who have stuck around, and sorry if you’ve read every one
Let’s briefly review progress (if any) from post 100 (see here):
- the “shaded blob in the black hole” that was formally announced has grown into our precious son, Luke
- this in turn has added a new subject to blog about
- which has in turn bolstered the blogging “stats”…I’m now up to a post every 2.5 days or so (which is really easy when you take a zillion pics and then throw a couple online!)
- other topics of life, spiritual questions/views, and seminary life have been about the same (though not since june 16…the arrival of Luke!)
You can decide if this is progress or not. So what’s happening now?
Everything Luke Aunt Jenn is in town with her roomie Keli!!! (notice the singular use of “l”…thanks to a chat last night I spelled her name correctly!) I’ll post some pics later. Luke was in quite the fussy mood all day, so lets hope for a better day today of play with Aunt Jenn
Even Mallory is excited because they brought their pooches Dakota and Kahlua. Doggie playtime is this afternoon…
Oh yeah. And Luke has gone 24 hours without a poop…everyone BEWARE!
Life The days are HOT and prevent doing too much, which is a real shame because the summer is nearing an end and I am becoming very busy preparing for fall classes. We are, however, enjoying spending time with various friends.
Seminary This summer officially marks the half-way point of the 4 year program. Yiiipppeeeee!! We will see if the next 2 years can be contained to 2, or if they will ooze into 3. The fall is most exciting for 2 reasons: (1) I am teaching a lay class one night a week on the subject of Angels and Demons…the Spirit Realm. Maybe at some point I’ll put the gist of my syllabus up and you can see if you would enroll in my class…if not, don’t burst my bubble! (2) I am taking my last Greek class!!!! (class #5) I have really enjoyed the language, but between Greek and Hebrew, there doesn’t seem to be any room for my other classes!
Spiritual Questions/Views In light of my preparations for my class on Angels, I thought I would end with a question to the readership…so please respond if you will (there is no judgment here…at least to your face…just kidding!) Do you believe in guardian angels? Do you think the Bible teaches/alludes to guardian angels? Lets take “guardian angel” to mean a single angel that is assigned by God to watch over at least one (though perhaps multiple) human(s). A popular text called upon for this discussion is Matthew 18:10. I realize that no one wants to put their thoughts/beliefs out there first, so, ponder this and I will post my thoughts tomorrow.
And that’s a wrap!
