Tagged Again!?!

A new round of tag has been started and the game has changed little…this time around I am supposed to give “5 reasons I “dig” Jesus”. Let me send my THANKS to Jaybrams for tagging me…though I argue I am faster than him, so there should be no way he could tag me (this is all in “my world”, remember!). A response to such a question always raises some challenges. First, we all want to give a new, unique, or impressive answer…so none of the simple ones are “okay.” I mean…I have to be a “bigger” Christian than the next guy, right Second, we all have to put in a disclaimer about how our response doesn’t do justice to the person of God (this is indeed correct, but I think it safe to say that this is an understood for all…or at least most). I guess consider the above my disclaimer to these feeble responses, yet I am proud of them, so there!
1. Let me be one to say it in such a simple way: God loves me
He loves me in ways I do not understand, cannot understand! He loves me in the morning, during the day, at night, when I’m grumpy, happy, or sad. He loves me when I obey and when I disobey…HE LOVES ME!

2. He puts up with me despite my inconsistencies…like when I get all fired up and declare that “things are gonna be different, Jesus!”…then He watches as I continue to live like I always have.

3. He allows me to have such a flippant attitude toward His Word, and yet still speaks to me through it, rather than making my mind hard to what it says.

4. He made me the way I am on purpose, it was not an accident (despite what some of you may think)

5. For some reason He likes to send blessings down the pipeline…maybe one day I will begin to truly appreciate them.

So there they are, take them or leave them, agree or refute, but I am being spiritual, remember.
